Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is one of the featured speakers at the Republican National Convention taking place at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was also the keynote speaker at another Republican event being held near the convention, the Policy Fest organized by the Heritage Foundation, the group behind Project 2025.
While Carlson attracted a major following during his stint at FOX News, his new show, “Tucker on X” has not seen the same levels of viewership or engagement.

Carlson’s roots at Fox News
Carlson started working for Fox News in 2009. In 2012, Carlson became a host on “Fox and Friends Weekend” and later hosted his show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” in 2016. His final show on the network aired on 21 April 2023, and since he departed from FOX, he has taken his talents to X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk.
The news outlet issued a statement indicating that FOX News Media and Carlson agreed to part ways and expressed gratitude for his contributions as both a host and a contributor.

Carlson’s sudden departure from FOX
While no reports have confirmed exactly what led to Carlson’s ousting from FOX, many have pointed to his involvement in the Dominion Voting Lawsuit that found the company liable to make a $787 million payout. The defamation lawsuit was filed against the news corporation for alleging that Dominion Voting Systems had helped to manipulate the 2020 presidential election in favor of Joe Biden.
The settlement with Dominion was also a contributing factor in the decision of the two parties to part ways. Despite the TV host’s popularity with Republican voters, the situation between Carlson and his employer could no longer continue.
According to Yahoo News, Tucker Carlson used to earn $8 million annually during his tenure at Fox News. Celebrity Net Worth estimated that when he left FOX, Carlson had amassed a net worth of around $30 million.
