When do Labor Day sales start? What is the last day of deals?
Labor Day is just around the corner. What you need to know about when sales begin and end at major retailers in the US.
Labor Day is right around the corner, and many businesses are preparing to offer customers special deals to celebrate. With retailers often looking for ways to get customers in the door, offering sales over holiday weekends when many workers have a day off and have time to do some shopping has become quite popular with major corporations and smaller businesses alike. Additionally, though it may be a bit early to begin thinking about Christmas presents, some items be marked down to the best price one will find before the holiday season over the weekend.
This year, Labor Day will take place on Monday, September 2, and retailers are already providing a look into what items will be discounted this weekend.
Amazon
On Amazon, some of the Labor Day deals are already active, or at least some of them are, and the platform is likely to expand its offering to next Monday. Many of the currently active sales are on Amazon’s product line, including the Echo, the Fire TV, and Amazon Fire TV Stick. However, there are also popular Apple products, including the 9th generation iPad and Apple AirPods Max.
Best Buy
For those in the market for new technology products or appliances, Best Buy’s sale may be a closer fit to what you are looking for. The sale begins on August 30 and will wrap up on September 2. Best Buy’s sale includes the same iPad included by Amazon in their list of discounted products. Both are selling the device for $199.99.
Costco
While Costco has not announced a specific Labor Day sale, they are offering members special deals through September 22 on all sorts of products: Sealy mattresses, Samsung appliances, Lenovo and HP laptops, and much more. If you are a member, be sure to check out these deals.
Target
Target has yet to update its website with information about its upcoming Labor Day sale, but shoppers should be assured that it is, in fact, coming. Tom’s Guide, which tracks these sorts of events within the industry, has reported that some of the products placed on sale will be “Apple tech, TVs, and even Amazon hardware,” in other words, not so different from those offered by its competitors. The sale is expected to begin on Friday or Saturday and run until Monday.
Walmart
Walmart has already begun adding items to its website’s Labor Day savings section. If you are in the market for a Kitchen Aid pasta roller, you are in luck, with Walmart placing the item on sale for $149. Other items include sporting equipment, furniture, and other technology products. The sale, which is already underway, is expected to end on Monday.
