President Joe Biden is set to speak to the country for the last time as its head of state.

He will deliver his farewell address in prime time from the Oval Office on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. ET.

The president will give the speech five days before he exits the White House and President-elect Donald Trump takes his place.

It will be the last chance for him to address Americans as their president before he steps down at noon on Monday, Jan. 20.

What will President Joe Biden say in his farewell speech?

Biden will be expressing his reflections on his extensive career in public service, according to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“He has some thoughts on the future, not just of the country, but how this country moves forward as a leader, when you think about global events, important global issues, and certainly he will lay that out,” Jean-Pierre said.

Aside from discussing his vision for the future of the United States and the country’s role in international affairs, the president will likely highlight the accomplishments of his administration, emphasizing progress made in key areas, and reflect on the challenges and rewards of his office.

Major TV networks will broadcast the farewell address live. The event will also be streamed online via multiple platforms, including the official White House website and social media channels.
