It’s National Burrito Day and to celebrate it properly, restaurants are offering deals and freebies to entice customers to eat their favorite tortilla wrap.

Food-based celebrations are the best time to drop by or order from your favorite restaurants, since many of them are offering deals and freebies to mark the occasion.

Today, for example, is National Burrito Day. It’s difficult to pinpoint the exact origin of the burrito, (or that of this holiday, for that matter!) but this wrap made of flour tortilla stuffed with various fillings has become a popular dish in the US, making it worthy of celebration.

Where to get deals and freebies to celebrate National Burrito Day

In honor of National Burrito Day, some restaurants have come up with offers to attract customers. Here are some deals you might want to take advantage of.

Chipotle

Chipotle has a unique way of celebrating this day. The restaurant has a new interactive game called Burrito Vault, through which customers can obtain a buy-one-get-one free entrée code. If you are lucky enough to get a hold of the code, you may redeem the freebies on National Burrito Day itself.

The Burrito Vault game is available to play at www.unlockburritotoday.com, beginning at 12 p.m. PT.

El Pollo Loco

El Pollo Loco is giving its Loco Rewards members a buy-one-get-one free burrito only on April 4. Just make sure that the free burrito is of equal or lesser value than the purchase. The offer does not apply to combo meals, and can only be used once.

“With five different burrito options, we’re sure to satisfy everyone’s cravings. Join us in celebrating and indulging in the ultimate burrito experience!” El Pollo Loco Chief Marketing Officer Jill Adams said in a statement.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

Moe’s Southwest Grill is also extending a buy-one-get-one-free offer to its customers when ordering a burrito or bowl online, on the Moe’s Rewards app, or while dining in.

The chain is also giving away 100 vouchers for a weekly free burrito for a year. If you want to a chance to win this 52-week prize, check in on your Moe Rewards account. You can do so by scanning to earn or redeem, using the app to make an order, or scanning a receipt. You can also join the contest on Facebook and Instagram. Promo begins at 10 a.m. ET on April 4.

QDOBA

Fast casual restaurant QDOBA is offering free burritos if you buy an entrée and a drink. This is only available to members of the QDOBA Rewards loyalty program, and can be claimed in person, online, or through the chain’s app. Sign up to their loyalty program for free if you’re not a member yet.

Taco Bell

Taco Bell is offering various deals on this day, starting off with a buy-one-get-one-at-half-price offer available on the chain’s app. The second burrito should be of equal or lesser value, and customers can only avail of the discount once.

If you are having your food delivered, there are promotions available as well. Ordering through DoorDash gives you $5 off for a $20 purchase that includes a burrito. Through GrubHub, receive a free burrito when you make a minimum purchase of $22. Those who use Uber Eats can also get a free burrito for a purchase of a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito.
