Trump interrupted at joint House speech
Texas Rep. Al Green was escorted out of the House Chamber after interrupting the president’s speech on Tuesday night in Washington.

As Green stood out of his seat and waved his cane in the air at the president and his supporting members, Speaker Mike Johnson stepped to the microphone and as he looked to keep “decorum in the House and and to cease any further disruptions.”
Green gets the boot
The ruckus continued as President Trump waited for order to be restored. Finally Johnson stepped back to the microphone ordering Green to sit down. The Texas lawmaker refused and eventually was escorted out of the chamber by the House Sargent at Arms as many began to cheer “USA.”
Green is a lawyer and democrat who represents the ninth district of Texas. He has served on Congress since 2005 and is a known Trump proponent. Before that he served as Justice of Peace for Harris County in Texas from 1977-2005.
