Who is Thomas Dickey, the lawyer for Luigi Mangione, suspected of murdering the CEO of United Healthcare?

On December 9, Luigi Mangione was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Authorities said an employee at the restaurant called 911 to report a man who looked like the suspect.
Following his arrest, authorities reported that Mangione was in possession of several fake IDs, a U.S. passport, a gun, a silencer, and a handwritten manifesto in which he apologized “for any trauma issues” but said “it had to be done.” Mangione accused law enforcement of planting some items in his hotel room.
Mangione is being held at the Huntingdon State Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania after being denied bail. He is also fighting extradition to New York.

Thomas M. Dickey will represent Luigi Mangione in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Based on the severity of the case, Dickey was quickly made the legal representative of the suspect and is an Altoona native, attending high school there before heading to Saint Francis University to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science. He continued his studies at Ohio Northern University, where he obtained his law degree.

Dickey has appeared several times as a guest commentator on platforms such as CNN and local media outlets. Defense attorney Tom Dickey said Tuesday that he has been hired to represent Luigi Mangione. In addition to representing Magione in Pennsylvania, Dickey said Tuesday that it's "a possibility" that he could also represent him in New York, according to CNN.
For now, Mangione pled not guilty to his Pennsylvania charges. The 26-year-old currently faces five criminal charges in Pennsylvania, where he was arrested:
