Readers may be more accustomed to seeing actor Brad Pitt on the big screen instead of an icy cityin northern Europe, but that’s where the Hollywood heartthrob finds himself as he showcases his first art at exhibition. He is alongside Nick Cave and Thomas Houseago for the event. It is the first time any of his work will be on display since he took up sculpting back in 2017.

“In that sense this is exciting and wonderful,” the chief curator, Sarianne Soikkonen, said.

Pitt named his sculptures a “radical inventory of self” and says the work reflects himself as a person and some of the damage caused by his actions in the last five years.

“To me it’s about self-reflection. It’s about where I have gotten it wrong in my relationships, where have I misstepped, where am I complicit,” Pitt said at the opening. “For me, it was born out of ownership of what I call a radical inventory of self, getting really brutally honest with me and taking account of those I may have hurt, moments I have just gotten wrong.”

What did Pitt put on show?

In total nine of Pitt’s works are on display.

Perhaps the most striking is the scuplture named Aiming At You I Saw Me But It Was Too Late This Time, which depicts a gun battle.
