The Game Awards 2022 has confirmed the presence of one of the most wanted games of 2023. Final Fantasy XVI will show up during the event presented by its producer, Naoki Yoshida. This new entry into the long running RPG franchise will show “a very special live presentation”, which makes it into one of the gala’s biggest moments. When will it happen? During the global livestream of the show on December 8, on The Game Awards’ official YouTube and Twitch channels.
During the last few weeks, we’ve been getting hints that point towards a release date reveal. Hiroshi Takai, the game’s director, shared with Famitsu that the development is currently “at 95%”, and that we would know a definitive date before the current year was over. It seems like Geoff Keighley’s stage has been chosen to give one of the most awaited news of the year. Remember that Final Fantasy XVI will be a launch exclusive for PS5.
The Game Awards 2022 dates and times
Remember that The Game Awards 2022 will stream live as the show happens in Los Angeles, California, on the night of December 8. This means that we’ll all have to adjust to Pacific Standard Time depending on your location at the time.
