Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the title of the next Harrison Ford-led movie
The world's most renowned archaeologist and professor is back! Lucasfilm has released the second trailer for Professor Indiana Jones' next adventure.
It’s time to take back the whip and dust off the fedora. Lucasfilm has released the second trailer and revealed the name of the fifth Indiana Jones movie: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Without further ado, don't miss Harrison Ford's return in one of his most iconic roles with the trailer below:
As previously announced, the trailer debuted at CCXP 2022 in Brazil, giving us our first look at what very well may be Harrison Ford's last performance as one of the most iconic characters of his career. The trailer is full of callbacks to the iconic character's previous adventures, with a montage of action scenes full of weapons, vehicles and of course, whips.
In addition to Harrison Ford, the film will star Phoebe Waller-Bridge ("Fleabag"), Antonio Banderas ("Pain and Glory"), John Rhys-Davies ("Raiders of the Lost Ark"), Shaunette Renee Wilson ("Black Panther"), Thomas Kretschmann ("Das Boot"), Toby Jones ("Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom"), Boyd Holbrook ("Logan"), Oliver Richters ("Black Widow"), Ethann Isidore ("Mortel") and Mads Mikkelsen ("Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore"). The film is directed by James Mangold, produced by Steven Spielberg and with a screenplay by Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth.
We will have to wait a little longer for Indy's next adventure, as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released in theaters on June 30.
Not the end of Indy Jones
Although it is known that this could be the character's last film (considering that Harrison Ford is already in his 80s), the fate of Indiana Jones could point to television. In early November Variety reported that Disney and Lucasfilm are exploring the possibility of developing an Indiana Jones TV series for Disney+. For now, details are minimal due to the stage it is in. In addition to this series, the adventures will continue in the form of a video game developed by MachineGames, which was announced in early 2021.
