Beware of this scam: The Witcher 4 does not have a beta, and the studio confirms it’s fraudulent
CD Projekt RED has taken action but urges users to report the scam if they encounter it.

If you’ve received an invitation to participate in a beta for The Witcher 4, ignore it. CD Projekt RED has warned players about a scam related to their upcoming game, which is still in the early stages of development and won’t be released until at least 2027.
The Polish studio clarified on social media that no beta has been launched, making these invitations fraudulent. They assured fans that any official beta would be announced through their official channels.

CD Projekt RED’s statement
“Recently, we’ve been getting reports from some of our community members that they’ve been invited to a beta test of The Witcher 4 — this is a scam!” the studio stated in a social media post.
They added, “We’ve been taking the necessary steps to take this fraudulent messaging down. That said, if you receive any invites to or stumble upon news of one, we kindly ask you to report the scam using the tools available to you in your email client or the social media platform you are using.”
In true Witcher fashion, the studio concluded, “Remember: professional monster slayers don’t fall for scams; they see right through them and slay them!”
“PS. Should we ever organize any beta tests in the future, you will hear about it first, as always, via our official social media and websites.”
