Did the Silent Hill 2 Remake change James’ appearance again?

After an update to the game’s Steam page, Silent Hill 2′s James Sutherland looks closer to the original character.

Update:
Silent Hill 2 Remake

Despite giving fans confusing updates on how far ahead its development is, the Silent Hill 2 Remake has not yet finalized its arrival date, with Bloober Team continuing to work on the long-awaited return of the psychological horror series. The revamped version of the classic has woken up some criticism, especially after the most recent trailer was released, showcasing a heavy emphasis on combat. Another aspect that has drawn attention is the protagonist’s model, which is very different from the PlayStation 2 original. However, the game’s Steam page has been updated and some fans have noticed that James Sunderland’s design looks different yet again (via Reddit).

The legendary scene in which James looks in the mirror appeared in the trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remake. After the update, the protagonist’s face now looks different, as can be seen in the image below. In any case, neither Bloober Team nor Konami have made any statements regarding this matter, so it is not confirmed that this change will be applied to the final version of the title. As this is a game in development, it may be an old resource or a mere coincidence. Until they present more official material, we won’t know if the team has decided to alter the design.

James’s demons

James Sunderland enters the nightmare of Silent Hill 2 when he receives a letter from his wife. The problem is that his wife died some time ago, so it is impossible for her to have written this summons. As you delve into the secrets of the cursed town, his gruesome past makes its way into his mind. The truth can be painful and more monstrous than the twisted creatures that lurk in the darkness.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is in development for PS5 and PC. Konami has resurrected the saga and has announced several new deliveries: from the free title Silent Hill: The Short Message to Silent Hill F, the next major delivery. The creators of Observation are working on Silent Hill Townfall, a smaller, narrative-based video game.
