Elden Ring’s DLC could be connected to Bloodborne, according to new fan theory

Shadow of the Erdtree, the upcoming expansion to FromSoftware’s masterpiece, Elden Ring, seems to have some connections to a previous title in the series.

Elden Ring is on its way to celebrating two years on the market, the months go by and we still have no news about its first expansion, called Shadow of the Erdtree. FromSoftware hasn’t shared any new details, but knowing its millions of fans, who needs them?

As you well know, few communities exist like that of FromSoftware games when it comes to investigating clues, obsessing over small details, finding secrets and speculate on possible theories. Each one crazier than the other, yes, but it wouldn’t be the first time that something really interesting has actually been discovered.

Well, Twitter(X) user Pinopinisimo has shared these images in which we can see the statues that we find in the surroundings of Cainhurst Castle, an optional area of Bloodborne, the FromSoftware exclusive for PS4. They also seem to be in Farum Azula, the ruined city of Elden Ring.

They are like two drops of water, as you can see, and if that were not enough it turns out that they also seem to be present in a structure from Shadow of the Erdtree, the Elden Ring expansion that we are all waiting for (with no confirmed release date yet). The most prudent users have a very plausible theory, which is that it is not uncommon for a studio to reuse assets from their own projects and all this does not indicate anything special. And you? Do you think there is something they have hidden from us?

Everything we know about Shadow of Erdtree, the Elden Ring DLC

A golden-haired character galloping on the back of a white horse (Torrent, the same one we control in Elden Ring) through a field in the direction of the ruins in which the statues of Cainhurst seem to be present. That’s what we have, an image and nothing more. Of course, it is more than enough for us to have investigated Who could that mysterious character be?...

Elden Ring is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Below you’ll find some of our most popular guides for the game:
