First images of Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch: is it worth it?
Nintendo has been responsible for showing the first images of the hybrid console version of Hogwarts Legacy, one of the best-selling titles of 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy still has a pending version to arrive this year, which is pending for the Nintendo Switch. Through Nintendo’s website, the first images of this version have been shown.
A total of six screenshots have been released showing how the famous school will look on Nintendo’s hybrid console. These give us a quick look at some locations, taking us from the classrooms to the Black Lake and some enemies and monsters. Throughout this article, you will be able to see some of these images.
For now, neither Avalanche Software nor Portkey Games haven’t given any details about the game’s performance on Nintendo Switch, such as its frames per second or resolution, as this is the first look we’ve had at the game on the console. While it’s complicated to compare it to the current-gen console versions, we should expect it to be close to the performance it had at launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy will come in a standard edition priced at $60.
Hogwarts Legacy has already charmed other consoles as well
It was earlier this year that Hogwarts Legacy arrived as one of the first surprises of the year, taking us back to the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 19th century. Although this title was originally expected to arrive for multiple consoles in February of this year, the title began to experience several delays, with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox X Series X|S versions arriving first. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions arrived in May, while the Nintendo Switch port was delayed again from July to November this year as the studio sought to further optimize the experience for the hybrid console.
At the time, we gave our opinion on the controversial title inspired by the Wizarding World, mentioning that Hogwarts Legacy is a title that manages to capture and present an important franchise in a way that takes great advantage of the capabilities of today’s consoles and PCs to deliver a truly magical title.
