Fortnite launches new Blitz Royale mode and gives away free skins! Find out how to get it

We’re just hours away from the launch of Fortnite’s fourth battle royale mode.

fortnite blitz royale nuevo modo de juego

Epic Games has launched Blitz Royale, a fast-paced battle royale mode designed for quick matches and mobile-friendly gameplay. Unlike traditional Fortnite matches, Blitz Royale features 32 players, zero building, and rounds lasting five minutes or less.

How does Blitz Royale work?

Blitz Royale is a no-build mode set on a smaller map, where players start each match with a random weapon or ability. As they eliminate opponents, they level up their Blitz Level, unlocking stronger gear mid-match.

Each week, Blitz Royale will feature unique themes and loot pools, including:

  • Week 2: Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover with bending scrolls.
  • Week 3: Boss weapons from Fortnite’s main Battle Royale mode.
  • Week 4: TMNT-themed melee combat.

Blitz Royale is not a permanent mode—it will run for four weeks, ending on July 15.

How to get free skins

Epic Games is offering free cosmetics for players who complete Blitz Royale challenges:

  • Blitz Knight skin – Earn 15 account levels or place in the top 10 in 20 Blitz matches.
  • Blitz Brella glider – Win three Blitz Royale matches.

These rewards are only available during the Blitz Royale event, so players must complete the challenges before July 15.

Why Blitz Royale matters

Blitz Royale is Fortnite’s quickest battle royale mode yet, offering short, intense matches and exclusive free skins. It’s designed to be mobile-friendly, making it easier for players to jump into a match without committing to a full-length battle royale session.

Epic Games is testing the waters with this limited-time mode, and if it proves successful, Blitz Royale could become a permanent addition to Fortnite’s lineup.

Blitz Royale is a fresh take on Fortnite’s battle royale formula, catering to players who prefer fast-paced action over lengthy matches. With free skins up for grabs, it’s worth diving in before the event ends. Whether you’re a mobile player or just looking for quick, intense battles, this mode is a great way to experience Fortnite in a new way.
