Cassidy was a recurring character in the franchise’s 3D universe, appearing in GTA III, Vice City, Liberty City Stories, and Vice City Stories. Known for his booze-fueled antics and love for firearms, he became a fan favorite. His most infamous moment? Losing an arm in a moonshine-related accident.
However, GTA 6 follows the HD universe canon, meaning this version of Cassidy is likely a reinterpretation or homage, rather than a direct continuation of his past appearances.

At 2:09 in the trailer, Cassidy makes a brief appearance in an advertisement for his gun shop, now called Phil’s Ammunation.
- In previous games, his store was known as Phil’s Depot.
- The new branding suggests a larger role in Vice City’s underground arms trade.
- He’s seen firing off rounds while surrounded by bikini-clad women, reinforcing his over-the-top personality.
One notable change: Cassidy still has both arms in GTA 6, unlike in the 3D era.
