How to activate the Arachnophobia Mode in Hogwarts Legacy and what it’s for?

This accessibility option allows the player to decide if they want to encounter this type of insect during their journey through the Wizarding World.

Update:
Hogwarts Legacy

Among the accessibility options in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the ability to eliminate spiders from the galaxy far, far away. It may sound like a joke, but arachnophobia is a reality that affects some people and prevents them from enjoying video games. To coincide with the release of Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox One and PS4, Warner Bros. Games has released a new patch that implements the Arachnophobia Mode, among other improvements and bug fixes (no pun intended).

“Our latest patch for Hogwarts Legacy includes Arachnophobia Mode, making venturing into spider-infested areas significantly less intimidating!” According to the patch notes, the effect of tiny spiders crawling across the ground will also be removed. On the other hand, the static bodies of dead insects are also invisible, although collisions are still active to prevent people from getting stuck.

Other titles, such as Grounded by Obsidian Entertainment, also implement this type of option. In fact, the game allows you to gradually change the shape of the spiders so that they lose some of the characteristics that identify them as such.

How to activate the Arachnophobia Mode in Hogwarts Legacy?

In order to enable this mode, we must first have the latest version of the game. Once Hogwarts Legacy is updated, start your game, Pause, Settings and in the Accessibility Options you will find the Arachnophobia Mode option at the bottom. To activate it, simply turn it on.

Now available on PS4 and Xbox One

Hogwarts Legacy was released last February on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The Xbox One and PS4 versions were delayed, but have been available since May 5. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch players will have to wait a little longer, until July 25. It is known that this version will be a native port, so it will run on the hardware of the hybrid console. WB Avalanche has already ruled out that it will be a cloud edition.

Everything seems to indicate that the adaptation to previous generation consoles has gone well, as reflected in the video of the Analista de Bits that we collected on the site.
