Alex Garland is reportedly leading the film adaptation of FromSoftware’s hit game with A24.

According to insider Jeff Sneider, the production company A24, known for films like ‘Midsommar,’ ‘Ex Machina,’ and ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once,’ is developing a film adaptation of ‘Elden Ring’. While the project hasn’t been officially announced, multiple sources have backed the claims.
The director attached to the project is Alex Garland, known for directing ‘Annihilation,’ ‘Civil War,’ and ‘Warfare’. Garland has also written the script for ‘28 Years Later,’ the upcoming sequel to ‘28 Days Later.’
The movie is expected to begin production in 2026, suggesting it will be Garland’s next major project.
