NBA 2K24 Mamba Moments

NBA 2K24 will commemorate Kobe Bryant’s legacy with a special game mode. This aspect of the new installment in the series is designed to put the player in the middle of the defining moments of the 24′s career. Specifically, we know that it will revisit seven fully playable events of a career to remember.

“The NBA 2K24 MAMBA MOMENTS were selected to celebrate Kobe and remember how he was the most unique competitor the world had ever seen,” explained on a press release Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at Visual Concepts. “Our team took great care in building a realistic and authentic experience to inspire and educate a new generation of basketball fans on the legacy of the lifetime Laker that left his mark on the sport.”

What Mamba Moments will be available in NBA 2K24?

So far, 5 of the 7 moments available at launch have been confirmed:

  • The NBA record holder for three-pointers made (2003).
  • The King of Sacramento (48 points and 16 rebounds in the Lakers’ 4-0 win over Sacramento).
  • 62 points in three quarters (at Dallas, 2005).
  • 65 points at Portland (2007).
  • Game 7 of the NBA Finals (2010).

Remember that NBA 2K24 will be available next September 8th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. You can take a look at all the prices and editions of NBA 2K24 here.

Our colleagues in Spain had the chance to play a preview of the game and they have this to say about ProPlay, one of this year’s gameplay innovations that will “change the whole genre”. “Every shooting mechanic, dribbling, personal moves, etc... will feel different than ever, and we will be able to enjoy the skills of especially different players like Nikola Jokic, James Harden or Stephen Curry. Ultimately, this technology makes the whole thing feel more believable, further blurring the line between gameplay and reality,” they wrote.
