Switch 2 swings for the fences as Nintendo promotes it at the ballgame

The Mariners will be featuring the beloved videogame company in their jerseys this season.

Nintendo Switch 2 Seattle Mariners

Nintendo and the Seattle Mariners have had a long relationship in the last few decades. They bought them in 1992, being the first Major League Baseball team to be owned by a foreign company until 2016, when they sold all, but 10% of their shares, which they retain till this day.

They’ve also had different perks for Nintendo fans over the years at the stadium, like the feat to access statistics, scores and more through the Nintendo DS at the ballpark.

Now, as they prepare to launch the Nintendo Switch 2, the company has announced that it’s expanding its partnership with the Seattle Mariners, just a week ahead of Opening Day. The Mariners will be featuring a couple of logos in the jerseys throughout the 2025 MLB season.

The collaboration was announced through social media, where fans can see Julio Rodríguez wearing a home jersey with the Nintendo logo. It’s been confirmed as well that the Switch 2 logo will be appearing in the away jersey.

This collaboration will start with Opening Day 2025 on March 27, when the Oakland Athletics visit the Seattle Mariners, and not even a week later, Nintendo will be presenting its new hardware on the next Nintendo Direct, which will be on April 2nd, featuring the Switch 2.
