Puerto Rico will have to play some of their best baseball yet to get past a tough Italy and through to the semifinals of the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

Their strong pitching, excellent hitting and tough defense got Puerto Rico to the quarterfinals at the WBC 2026. The Puerto Ricans finished second in in Pool A, tied at the top with Canada with a 3-1 record and have played well under the direction of MLB legend Yadier Molina.
