2023 World Baseball Classic: Who plays today? Times, TV and streaming | March 10
Friday March 10 sees the races tighten in Pools A and B as some of the teams reach that do or die moment in their journey.
In Pools A and B, the competition is getting to the meat of the action as the games move into the do-or-die segment of the tournament for several teams. With Korea and Japan already playing as this is written, Italy and Chinese Taipei are preparing to take the field.
The Koreans were stunned by Australia and Chinese Taipei were handed a humiliating defeat by Panama, meaning that both of these teams need a win to keep their hopes of advancing out of the group alive.

Later this evening there are two more games for you as China will meet Australia and Panama will meet Italy in what should be an interesting clash given both of these teams’ performance in the tournament so far.

Korea vs Japan preview
Korea are widely seen as the number two team in this pool, only behind Japan, but after their stunning loss to Italy the Koreans have some ground to make up. It will be a big ask for them to defeat the Japanese, who are perhaps the best team in the world, but they will need to find some magic soon if they want to guarantee their placement in the knockout stage.
Italy vs Chinese Taipei preview
The host nation was handed a humiliating defeat by Panama and will be looking to save face in front of their home fans. That won’t be easy, however, since the Italian side is looking solid in the tournament so far and could easily make life very difficult indeed for the hosts.
China vs Australia preview
With the struggles that the Chinese have had, this game should be a straightforward affair for Australia. But it isn’t as if they need to face a bad team in order to win, this Australian side is formidable and can bring the heat to anybody.
Panama vs Italy preview
This is definitely the game of the day. Panama are the strongest Central American team and Italy have already shown that they are up to the challenge. Both teams know how to score runs and both have a solid pitching staff to lean on. If you can only watch one game today, this is the one.
