The MLB World Tour: Mexico City Series is a highly anticipated event that takes place every year, featuring Major League Baseball (MLB) games played at the renowned Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú in the bustling metropolis of Mexico City. The 2024 edition of the series is set to take place on April 27-28, marking the second consecutive season of regular season games in Mexico City.

The two-game series will feature the Houston Astros and the Colorado Rockies, two formidable teams known for their prowess and tenacity on the field. This will be the seventh series to be played in Mexico, with the previous series attracting a massive turnout of fans eager to witness the exhilarating games.

The Houston Astros, who will be playing their first international series since 2019 when they faced the Los Angeles Angels in Monterrey, have a rich history of playing games in Mexico. In addition to the 2019 series, the Astros played in the 2016 exhibition series against San Diego in Mexico City. They also played exhibition games in 2004 against the Florida Marlins in Mexico City, in 2001 against the Cleveland Indians in Valencia, Venezuela, in 2000 against the Red Sox in Santo Domingo, and a pair of exhibition games in 1982 against the Baltimore Orioles in San Juan and Bayamón.

Similarly, the Colorado Rockies will return to Mexico for the first time since 2019, when they faced the Diamondbacks in Monterrey. The Rockies have a remarkable track record of playing games in Mexico, having played against San Diego in 2001 in Culiacán and the 1999 Opening Game in Monterrey.

The tickets for the event will be on sale starting December 5, and there will be a limit of 4 tickets per buyer.
