Cleveland Guardians appoint Rigo Beltrán of Mexico as new bullpen coach
The Cleveland Guardians have appointed Rigo Beltrán of Mexico as their new bullpen coach. He has been with the Cleveland organization since 2014.

The Cleveland Guardians have been firming up their coaching staff and team manager Terry Francona has hired Mexican Rigo Beltrán as their new bullpen coach. Beltrán is set to replace Brian Sweeney, who was named pitching coach at the Kansas City Royals.
Beltrán has been with the Cleveland organization since 2014. He spent the last four seasons as pitching coach with the Columbus Clippers (Triple-A).

Rigo Beltrán: MLB pitcher for 5 seasons
The 53-year-old from Tijuana remained active for 5 seasons in the MLB in his playing days, with the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies and the defunct Montreal Expos.

The reigning champions of the American League Central Division also named Jason Esposito as run production coordinator and Puerto Rican Hasani Torres as assistant strength and conditioning coach.
