Estados Unidos Update:

The New York Yankees (73-60) made history as six different players homered in an 11-2 victory over the Washington Nationals (53-80) in the final game of the series. It was the third time in the 2025 MLB season that the Bronx Bombers managed to have that many players go deep in the same game.

The fireworks began immediately when Trent Grisham led off with a home run to right field at Yankee Stadium. Things unraveled quickly for Washington in the third inning as New York sent 15 batters to the plate and piled on nine runs with four long balls. Aaron Judge launched his 41st homer of the year to drive in Ben Rice, and Cody Bellinger followed by crushing one to center field.

Jasson Domínguez kept the rally alive with a ground-rule double before Ryan McMahon unloaded a three-run shot to make it 8-0. Rice added a solo blast for the ninth run, and Domínguez later drove in the 10th with a single. Anthony Volpe came up again with the bases loaded and two outs but struck out, finally ending the inning’s onslaught.

The barrage continued in the fourth when Austin Wells turned on a Shinnosuke Ogasawara slider and sent it 368 feet into the right-field seats.

The Nationals avoided a shutout in the sixth thanks to CJ Abrams, who ripped an RBI single to left with Jacob Young on third and James Wood on first.

Paul Blackburn relieved Max Fried after a quality start in which the left-hander struck out six, walked two and allowed just one run. Blackburn worked a clean eighth, but with two outs in the ninth he gave up a solo homer to Andrés Chaparro – his first of the year.

The Yankees now head to Chicago for a four-game weekend series against the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.
