This afternoon, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents attempted to enter Dodger Stadium, but the team denied them access, according to a statement shared on social media.

“This morning, ICE agents arrived at Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lot. The organisation denied them entry. Tonight’s game will proceed as scheduled,” the Dodgers announced.

ICE vehicles were seen parked outside the stadium Thursday morning, marking yet another indication of the intensified raids taking place across Southern California.

This move from the Dodgers comes after strong criticism from all sides after the MLB team refused to comment on the ICE arrests of protesters making a stand against Donald Trump’s increasingly strict immigration policies.

Other teams in the city, such as LAFC and Angel City FC, spoke out against the raids, as the Dodgers stayed silent. They also reprimanded Nezza, a singer and influencer, after she tried to perform the national anthem in Spanish. One fan said they were turned away at the gates for wearing a sarape, adding to the disappointment from the majority latino community.
