The MLB Little League Classic is a chance for Little Leaguers to watch their counterparts in the big leagues live in action, at the arena of the Little League World Series. This year the Boston Red Sox will face off against the Baltimore Orioles at Williamsport in an AL East showdown.

This matchup was originally supposed to take place at the 2020 MLB Little League Classic, but it was cancelled due to covid-19.

The kids will have players from the two teams spending the morning and early afternoon with them, watching them play at the Little League World Series. In the evening, it will the children’s turn to watch their heroes and see how it’s done in the major leagues.

How to watch the 2022 MLB Little League Classic

The Little League Classic has been televised by ESPN as part of their Sunday Night Baseball Broadcast since the event was established in 2017, and they will also air the game this year.

To present the contest from the point-of-view of the youth, ESPN2 will provide an alternative telecast called KidsCast, where children will be performing broadcast duties.

The presenters include 18-year-old Max Wallace and 14-year-old Leo Roth, who will be the commentators, and 11-year-old Pepper Persley, who will act as a reporter.

They may be children but they are not new to the field- both Wallace and Roth have studied at the Bruce Beck Sports Broadcasting Camp, while 11-year-old Persley hosts her own digital show called Dish with Pepper, and has covered the WNBA.
