When does the 2025 MLB World Series start?

While the Dodgers and Brewers battle for the National League crown, the Blue Jays and Mariners are locked in their own fight to represent the American League. Los Angeles appears to be closing in on a second straight World Series appearance, having taken a commanding 3-0 lead in the NL Championship Series behind a masterful outing from Tyler Glasnow.

With both league finals nearing their conclusion, Major League Baseball has confirmed the dates for this year’s World Series, set to begin Friday, October 24. The location of the opening game, however, depends on who emerges victorious in each league.

If the Dodgers and Mariners advance, Game 1 will take place at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.If the Dodgers and Blue Jays win their respective series, the World Series will open at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.If the Brewers reach the World Series – regardless of whether their opponent is Toronto or Seattle – Game 1 will be held at American Family Field in Milwaukee, since the Brewers finished with the best record in the majors.
