The 2025 World Series is finely balanced after the opening two games, with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays each claiming one victory at Rogers Center.

Game 2 turned into a classic pitchers’ duel, ultimately favoring the Dodgers. Yoshinobu Yamamoto went the distance, throwing a complete game gem, while catcher Will Smith drove in three runs to lead Los Angeles to a 5-1 victory.

Game 3 moves to Dodger Stadium
The action continues with Game 3 at Dodger Stadium tonight. Games 4 and 5 are also scheduled in Los Angeles on October 28 and 29. If necessary, the series will return to Toronto for Games 6 and 7 on October 31 and November 1.
The Blue Jays, American League champions, are aiming for their third World Series title, more than 30 years after back-to-back wins in 1992 and 1993. Meanwhile, the Dodgers, National League winners, are seeking consecutive championships following their 2024 victory over the New York Yankees.

Dodgers honor legend with Game 3 ceremonial pitch
The Dodgers announced that Hideo Nomo, their iconic former pitcher, will throw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3.
Nomo joined Los Angeles in 1995, becoming only the second Japanese player to star in American professional baseball after Masanori Murakami, whose MLB appearance came 30 years earlier. He played for eight MLB teams over 13 seasons, including two stints with the Dodgers (1995-98 and 2002-04). Although he never won a World Series, he was named National League Rookie of the Year in 1995 and made his sole All-Star Game appearance the same year.
Nomo’s distinguished career is often credited with opening the door for more Japanese players in Major League Baseball. This year, three of his compatriots - Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki - are representing the Dodgers in the World Series.
Game 4 ceremonial pitcher revealed
The Dodgers also revealed that three-time All-Star Orel Hershiser will throw out the ceremonial pitch for Game 4 on Tuesday. The Blue Jays invited Cito Gaston for the Game 1 pitch and legendary first baseman Joe Carter for Game 2.
