2024 NBA Draft: Bronny James player profile | Height, weight, college stats and highlights

One of the most exciting names in the Draft, Bronny James, is looking to shake of his father’s shadow with his own performances.

The 2024 NBA Draft is here and one name stands out, even to those not scrolling through basketball news minute after minute: Bronny James is the poster boy for the upcoming selection among all the rising stars, whether he likes it or not.

Being the son of one of the greatest ever players to play Basketball has its pros and cons. The youngster is indeed a good player in the making, but a lot of pressure has been put on his shoulders to perform at a young age. Time will tell if he can make it at the top level but for now, let’s take a look at his stats and see how’s he’s performed so far, without piling on the expectations that he need go as far as his father.

Bronny James: height, weight, wingspan

At the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, James was measured to have a height of 6-foot, 1.5 inches without shoes on. He also measured in with a hand length of 8.5 inches and a hand width of 9.5 inches.

As for his wingspan, that sat at 6 feet, 7.25 inches for the 19-year-old. the USC website highlights a couple of his qualities, saying he has “elite basketball instincts and toughness with the ability to score from anywhere on the court.”

What are Bronny James’ college stats?

After 25 games with USC in the 2023-24 season, he has a 19.4 minute average with 36.6 field goal percentage. He hits 26.7% of his 3-pointers, while getting 67.6% from free throws.

The Guard scores an average of 4.8 points per game, with an RPG of 2.8. His assists sit at 2.1 and his steals at 0.8. Finally, he has a 0.2 rating for blocks.

An honour roll student from Sierra Canyon High, Bronny averaged 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals as a senior, causing him to be ranked by ESPN as the No. 19 overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class.

Bronny, no matter how hard he tries, will always be compared to his father.

James was named a 2023 McDonald’s All-American, scoring 15 points on 5-for-8 shooting from three-point range with four assists in the game; in three of his four seasons on the team, Sierra Canyon won the Mission League title after strong performances.

The USC website reminds us that Bronny was also selected to play for Team USA at the 2023 Nike Hoop Summit and had a key late rebound and pair of free throws to seal Team USA’s 90-84 victory”.
