2024 WNBA Draft selection order: which teams pick first?

Update:

Following Caitlin Clark’s decision to call time with college team Iowa and move to the WNBA with an X post on 29 February, expectation ahead of the 2024 Draft is sky-high.

Clark is the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer and is regarded as one of the greatest players in college basketball history and earlier in the month Clark was been named The Associated Press Player of the Year for the second year running.

Her presence in the March Madness Final Four earlier this month saw viewing break records as her Hawkeyes team fell short at the final hurdle losing to South Carolina in the final.

As was determined by the WNBA Draft Lottery 2024 on 10 December last year, the Indiana Fever have the top pick in the WNBA Draft 2024 (which will be held on Monday, 15, April) and its anticipated that Clark will join last year’s unanimous Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston in an effort to revive the Fever, who have not had a winning season since 2015.

The Los Angeles Sparks will select second. The Chicago Sky have the third selection, followed by the Sparks again at No. 4.
