Could Caitlin Clark win MVP in her second WNBA season? Here’s what the odds say
After leading the Indiana Fever back to the playoffs in 2024, Clark now heads into her sophomore season in the WNBA.

Caitlin Clark is being heavily tipped to win the MVP award in the 2025 WNBA season, as the Indiana Fever point guard prepares for her sophomore year in professional basketball.
Clark out to steal Wilson’s MVP crown
Clark heads into 2025 as the reigning Rookie of the Year, after an impressive debut campaign in which she helped the Fever to return to the WNBA playoffs after an eight-year postseason absence.
The 23-year-old finished fourth in the voting for the 2024 MVP award, which went to unanimous choice A’ja Wilson.
Were Wilson to retain her crown in 2025, she would become the first player in WNBA history to be named MVP four times - but the Las Vegas Aces star is currently second to Clark in the betting.
According to odds published by BetMGM, Clark is the +195 frontrunner for MVP, just ahead of Wilson’s moneyline odds of +200. The Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier is third favorite, on +250.

Clark targets end to Fever championship wait
Speaking to reporters ahead of the 2025 season, which kicks off today, Clark spoke of her determination to inspire the Fever to the WNBA title, 13 years after the franchise’s first and only championship win.
“Obviously I want to play good basketball, but I think winning [is my overriding objective for the season],” the former Iowa Hawkeye said. “Winning is the most fun part of this game that we get to play. So, that’s what it is for me.”
Clark, who was an All-Star pick and the WNBA’s top provider of assists in 2024, added that she expects herself to take a step forward as one of the team’s on-court leaders.
“When you’re the point guard, you’ve got to be the strongest voice on the floor,” she said. “I think, at times, that’s where I struggled last year.
“Coming in as a rookie, you don’t know when to use your voice, you don’t know when to listen to your vets, you don’t know the best way to handle a lot of those situations.
“So I think just learning and growing through that, just being a really good leader is my main goal.”
