Update:

Following a 24-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, veteran star Draymond Green made some very pointed remarks about his Warriors teammates.

The Golden State Warriors have now lost six road games on the bounce, a worrying run that sees them slip to a 6-6 record for the season. Speaking after the latest defeat, Green admitted that the team had regressed since an impressive run of form at the end of 2024/25.

“I think everybody was committed to winning [back then] and doing that any way possible,” Green said of the change. “Right now, it doesn’t feel that way.”

“I think everyone has a personal agenda in this league,” Green continued. “But you have to make those personal agendas work within the team confines. If it doesn’t work, you kind of got to get rid of your agenda, or eventually the agenda is the cause of someone getting rid of you.”

The Warriors made a slow start last season, too, but were transformed by the midseason arrival of Jimmy Butler. Golden State went 23-8 to finish the regular season last year and started 5-1 this campaign.

But a series of road games in quick succession appears to have taken a toll on the aging Warriors roster, and there have been questions about the mentality of some of the younger stars.

Third-year guard Brandin Podziemski made headlines recently when he told reporters that he wants to be “better than” teammate Stephen Curry. While fifth-year forward Jonathan Kuminga was embroiled in a contract dispute for much of the offseason, making clear that he expects more usage and more responsibility.

Whatever the noise around the team, the Warriors should improve significantly once Curry has returned to full fitness after a spell on the sideline due to illness. If he is back on his game, the Warriors should return to their normal rhythm once they get back on home court.
