Update:

Starting on Wednesday, the 2025 NBA Draft is to take place over two nights this week in Brooklyn, New York. It will be the 79th edition of the annual event.

The team with this year’s first overall pick is the Dallas Mavericks, who won the draft lottery despite having just a 1.8% chance. Duke standout Cooper Flagg is expected to be the first player selected.

There will only be 59 total picks in this year’s draft, because the New York Knicks lost a second-round pick after a free agency violation in 2022.
