Jimmy Butler’s most urgent order of business as a Golden State Warrior
The Golden State Warriors are one of the hottest teams in the league since trading for Jimmy Butler, but the star still isn’t feeling quiet at home.

There might be something brewing in the Bay. The Golden State Warriors are on a hot streak and quickly climbing up the standings since making a mid season trade for Jimmy Butler. The former Miami Heat star is settling in nicely in San Fran, but he isn’t settling into his new home, yet.
Golden era back in the Bay?
Butler had grown disgruntled with the Heat over the last few months and forced his way out of Miami. The Warriors, who were outside of Play-In position, came calling and since bringing Butler on board Dub Nation has been rolling.
Before their Sunday afternoon match up with the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State had been on a seven game road trip that stretched back to before the All-Star Game. Butler debuted at the beginning of the road trip when the Warriors visited Chicago to take on the Bulls. The newest member of the Dubs scored 25 points as Stephen Curry led the way with 34 points.
That started a run of five wins in their last six games. On Sunday, the Warriors finally returned home after being on the road since the beginning of the month. Butler made his home debut in front of the Chase Center, and Golden State kept their fantastic run of form going.
Road trips await Golden State
Jimmy “Buckets” had 18 points as he sat and marveled at Steph Curry with the rest of those in attendance. Curry had 30 points and carried his team to a comfortable win over the only team that had beaten them since Butler came to the Warriors.
After the game, Butler was pumped up about the win but quickly changed focus. Before worrying about the Charlotte Hornets who visit town on Tuesday night, he will be hoping to find a place to set up shack. “First game (at home) is a DUB.. Now I got to find somewhere to live.”
Butler will be hoping to get that done sooner rather than later, considering the Dubs have another long road trip coming up. The east coast swing will last a week and a half, and they will play five games in that time. While Butler may not have much time, he’s got plenty of cash to splash after signing a two year, $110 million contract soon after getting traded.
