Paul George has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to address an injury sustained during NBA training sessions, according to insider Shams Charania.

The Philadelphia 76ers forward will now begin a rehabilitation program and will be re-evaluated before the start of training camp. The team has confirmed that the injury did not involve any major ligaments.

George has struggled with injuries throughout his career. His first season in Philadelphia ended early due to a knee issue, and this latest setback adds to the concern. He appeared in just 41 games, averaging a modest 16.2 points, 4.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds.

The Sixers endured a disappointing campaign, finishing 24–58 – a season derailed by injuries to Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey as well.
