Redick’s crazy method that led the Lakers to win over the Nuggets on Saturday night
The Los Angles Lakers had the best game of the Luka-LeBron era over the weekend when they snapped the Denver Nuggets nine game win streak on Saturday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of their biggest win of the new era on Saturday night when they took down the Denver Nuggets, and snapped nine game win streak. The Lakers were able to slow down one of the league’s best offenses and head coach J.J. Redick deserves a lot of the credit.
Luka looking like Luka
It was Luka Doncic’s best game in a Lakers jersey against the Nuggets. He came out scorching, scoring 16 points in the first quarter which set the pace for his Laker high 32 points in the wire-to-wire win.
LeBron, who was coming off of another 40 point game at 40 years old, stepped back and let Luka take the stage but he still had 25, 9 and 5 assists, but it was the defense that carried the Lakers from Ball Arena.

Apparently coach Redick didn’t just know that the game against Denver was going to be a massive game for his team, he prepared for it like a playoff game. The thought of containing Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray kept him up for a couple straight days, but it seemed to pay off in the Mile High City.
No sleep til Mavericks?
“I told the group, there’s certain moments throughout the season that you just get up for. I pretty much haven’t slept since we walked off the court in Portland. I spent a lot of time on this game, our staff spent a lot of time on this game. I envision our guys playing hard, they played harder than I could’ve envisioned" said Redick.
Everyone knows, when you play the Nuggets defending Nikola Jokic is going to be the priority. The Nuggets did it with a team effort, not allowing the Serbian to catch the ball cleanly in the post, and making it hard to find passing lanes. Jokic had just 7 FGs all night, and while he had another triple-double with 12, 13 and 10 assists he also had 6 turnovers and looked frustrated all night.
The Lakers will now head back to LA and prepare for what will be a mouthwatering match up against the Dallas Mavericks. This will be Luka’s first game against his old team and emotions will be running high from Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night.
