Welcome back Wiggins
Andrew Wiggins has been sensational in his return after being away from the team for personal issues. He came back to the Warriors in Game 1 and is again proving how much he means to this team in the playoffs. He is averaging 20 points and 5 rebounds and even had 4 blocks in the Game 1 loss to the Kings.
He's baaaaack
Draymond Green is back in the Starting 5 for the Warriors after serving a one game suspension for stomping Sabonis. He has a way of sparking a fire for his team, even if he’s not on the court and that’s exactly what happened in Game 3. He may not have been playing, but the Warriors came into the game with that fight and drive we are used to seeing from the Golden State power forward. Tonight we will see how Green’s presence on the floor affects both the Warriors and the Kings.
Sacramento needs their King
De’Aaron Fox has been and is the man for the Kings this season and in this series. He had an off night in Game 3, but still finished with 26 points. Where the Kings really went wrong was their lack of productivity from role players like Malik Monk and Keegan Murray. Tonight Fox will look to put a rough shooting day in the past, hoping to get some help from some of his side kicks while awaiting Domantas Sabonis to have a break out playoff performance.
Steph stepping up
If last game showed us anything, it’s how hard it’s going to be for this Kings team to close out the Warriors. Steph Curry is going to show up when he needs to show up and in Game 3 he did that to the tune of 36 points. He is averaging more than 30 points in this series, and tonight he knows the Kings will throw everything they have at him in attempts to steal a game in the Bay.
Game 3 recap
After dropping the first two games in Sacramento, the defending champions knew Game 3 was a must win and they took it in wire-to-wire fashion as Steph Curry led the Warriors when they needed it most. The Golden State sharp shooter had 36 points on a night that Draymond Green was suspended after stomping on Domantas Sabonis in Game 2. With no Draymond, it was Kevon Looney who set the tone early on for the Warriors. He grabbed 20 rebounds, 9 on the offensive end as the Warriors controlled the battle of the boards and held the Kings to under 100 points and just 38% from the field.
