The Miami Heat are on the brink of securing a spot in the NBA Finals, while the Los Angeles Lakers, led by LeBron James, risk losing their series against the Denver Nuggets. Despite the potential elimination, LeBron James also witnessed one of his records being broken.

During the Sunday night game against the Boston Celtics, Duncan Robinson made NBA Playoff history by surpassing LeBron James as the Miami Heat player with the highest number of three points in the postseason. The Miami Heat won the game with a score of 128-122.

With only 2 minutes and 41 seconds remaining on the clock, Robinson received encouragement to attempt a long-distance shot and earn the necessary points to surpass a record set by a current Lakers player in a previous season.

Robinson successfully made five three-point shots during the game, bringing his total playoff record with the Miami Heat to 124 and surpassing James’ record of 123 during his time with the team under the leadership of Erick Spoelstra.

Following Robinson and LeBron, the subsequent players on the list are Mario Chalmers, who concluded his service with Miami by making 117 3-pointers, and Dwyane Wade, who scored 97 3-pointers during the postseason.

Despite this, Wade remains the Heat’s leading scorer in playoff history with 3,864 points, followed by LeBron James’ 2,338 and Jimmy Butler’s 1,432.
