The Boston Celtics are one win away from the NBA Finals. All they need to do is defeat the Miami Heat at their home stadium.

The Celtics finally saw two wins in a row when they won Game 5, the first time any of the teams had two consecutive victories in a row in the seesaw series. They are now in a position to close out the Heat, who have been hit hard by the absence of shooting guard Tyler Herro.

Celtics wear down Miami

The last game was close, but the Heat simply seemed to run out of steam as the matchup progressed.

They had a five-point advantage at half-time, but Boston fired an offensive salvo they couldn’t counter. This, coupled with the much-vaunted Celtics defense, brought Boston to the brink of winning the Eastern Conference Championship.

If they manage to stretch their winning streak to three, they’ll face the Golden State Warriors and finally be back to fighting for the championship for the first time since 2010.
