The Phoenix Suns find themselves in troubled waters after they had to let go of their head coach, Fran Vogel. Vogel’s departure comes after a disappointing playoff exit. Frank Vogel replaced Monty Williams as the head coach of the Phoenix Suns just a year after Williams had been named Coach of the Year in 2022.

Who is available for the Phoenix Suns to hire as their new head coach?

This list is compose of coaches who are on the free agency sort of speaking.

Mike Budenholzer:

The former coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, stands out as a top candidate. He led the Bucks to an NBA championship in 2021, showcasing his ability to maximize talent. As a two-time NBA Coach of the Year, Budenholzer’s experience and track record make him an attractive option for the Suns.

David Adelman:

Adelman, an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets, has quietly contributed to the team’s success. Denver has become the best team in the NBA and Adelman is no strange to making that a reality. He won’t be to expensive and can bring new ideas to the team.

Steve Nash:

The former Suns star and Hall of Famer has transitioned to coaching. While his tenure with the Brooklyn Nets was short, Nash’s basketball IQ remains unmatched. Returning to Phoenix would be a poetic storyline, and Nash’s leadership could inspire the team.

This will be the Suns third time changing head coaches in less than five years. Their decision will shape the coming years of the team as their main stars, like Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant, are getting older, and the team needs to take advantage of their current form now.
