The Slovenian sensation finally has a ring! Doncic announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Goltes with a post on Instagram.
Luka Doncic has announced his engagement to Anamaria Goltes with a post to his 8.3 million Instagram followers.
The Slovenian superstar chose to pop the question on 7 July, or 7/7, perhaps in reference to the Number 77 on his Dallas Mavericks jersey.
Doncic has known Goltes since they were children and the couple began dating in adolescence.
The photo on Instagram shows them in the beautiful setting of Lake Bled in their homeland of Slovenia. Visible in the background is the Church of the Mother of God, a key monument in the area.
Who is Anamaria Goltes?
Luka Doncic has become one of the most celebrated names in the NBA at the moment, but his bride-to-be is not so well-known.
Goltes is 24, the same age as Doncic, and is also Slovenian. She works as a model and influencer, defining herself as “fashion and lifestyle content creator”.
She is particularly active on Instagram and has acquired more than 187,000 followers. She can be seen posing with different outfits, including Luka Doncic’s shirts, and often with the couple’s dogs, Hugo and Gia.
Aside from her social media influencing, Goltes also helps out with charities in their homeland of Slovenia. When Doncic returns to Europe at the end of the NBA season Goltes is often seen at charitable events in Slovenia.
