The former New York Knicks star got himself a win of a different kind on a recent episode of the famous television show, ‘The Price is Right.’
Jared Jeffries wins new car on ‘The Price is Right’
While it may not have been a showcase win, former Indiana Pacers star Jared Jeffries did walk off the stage at Bob Barker Studios a big winner. The 11-year NBA veteran managed to win himself a brand-new car on the latest episode of “The Price is Right” on Monday evening. Indeed, Jeffries came out on top in the game “One Away,” which saw him claim red Toyota and in turn led to a huge celebration with well-known host Drew Carey on stage.

Of course, we’re betting that the 6-foot-11 forward might have some difficulty actually fitting into his new car, but on the other hand we can’t imagine he isn’t happy to have won. It is after all, what any contestant on the show hopes and dreams of achieving.
Where has Jared Jeffries played?
A former Indiana product, Jeffries played two seasons with the Hoosiers between 2000 and 2002, where he earned both Big Ten Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year honors. In 2002 specifically, Jeffries was key in helping the team to reach the National Championship Game, but unfortunately the team couldn’t bring the title home as they fell short to Maryland. Though there was surely disappointment, the NBA beckoned and Jeffries answered the call. Selected with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards, Jeffries would go on to spend his first four seasons in the league with the Wizards, before becoming somewhat of a journeyman.

Across a career that saw him spend time with the New York Knicks - where he is perhaps best remembered - the Houston Rockets and finally the Portland Trail Blazers, Jeffries averaged 4.8 points and 4.1 rebounds across a total of 629 games, before he finally called it quits following the 2013 season.
