Regional sites announced for NCAA Tournament
Heading into the Division I Baseball Tournament selection, the NCAA has announced the sixteen hosting sites for the first round regional groups
On Sunday night, the NCAA announced the 16 regional hosts for the NCAA Tournament. The Atlantic Coast Conference leads the way with five sites while the South Eastern Conference comes in with one less at four. Behind these two powerhouse conferences, the Big 12 and Pac-12 each have two hosting sites with the remaining three sites left to the Big 10, the Sun Belt, and Conference USA teams.
The nationally ranked number one team, Tennessee Volunteers will be hosting the regionals as the winners of the SEC tournament, and are favorites to go on and win the College World Series in Omaha.
This year marks a return to hosting for the Texas A&M Aggies, who haven’t had post-season baseball in Olson Field since 2017. The Maryland Terrapins will host a regional for the first time ever, with their fairytale season bringing big dividends to the baseball program.
After a strong showing in the back end of the regular season and through the Pac-12 conference, Stanford will be favored to be one of the eight finalists who travel to Nebraska and could be one of the teams slugging it out in the final of the CWS.

- Knoxville Regional - Tennessee (SEC)
- College Station Regional - Texas A&M (SEC)
- Austin Regional - Texas (Big 12)
- Stillwater Regional - Oklahoma State (Big 12)
- Stanford Regional - Stanford (Pac-12)
- Corvallis Regional - Oregon State (Pac-12)
- College Park Regional - Maryland (Big 10)
- Hattiesburg Regional - Southern Mississippi (Conference USA)
- Statesboro Regional - Georgia Southern (Sun Belt)
The remaining 48 teams will be announced later today by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee and you can watch the selection live on ESPN2. The field will be made up of the remaining 15 automatic bids plus 33 at-large picks, placed and seeded in a regional group of four.
