Caitlin Clark’s stunning performance, with 41 points and nine 3-pointers, helped her team, the Iowa Hawkeyes, defeat last year’s champion, LSU, in their title defense bid. Clark and Angel, Reese of LSU, were the buzzes of the basketball world ahead of Monday’s game. Both players gave their all, with Reese contributing 17 points and a game-high 20 rebounds, with 10 of them coming from the offensive glass.
Now, Clark and her Iowa Hawkeyes will face Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies in the second of two Final Four games on Friday night. UConn overcame several season-ending injuries to win the Big East and qualify for the March Madness field. All-American point guard Paige Bueckers led the Huskies back to the Final Four after missing two straight appearances due to her own ACL tear that cost her the 2022-23 season. The Huskies had previously made it to 14 straight national semifinals or finals.
