When does the 2023 NIT men’s basketball tournament begin? Brackets, matchups, teams

As March Madness begins, so does the NIT tournament, the second biggest for the NCAA.

It might not have the flare of March Madness, yet the NIT is still one of the most important basketball tournaments in the nation. Those that can’t still have to prove they can. This tournament is about giving those who didn’t make it to the dance an opportunity to show what they can do.

The National Invitational Tournament field has been decided. It will include a number of college basketball teams that will be exciting to watch. In a field of 32, Oklahoma State is one of four No. 1 seeds. Oregon, Rutgers, and Clemson are the other top seeds.

When does the NIT start? Teams and brackets?

The first weekend of the 2019 National Invitation Tournament will be March 14–15. The higher-seeded school will play host for the first three rounds of the competition.

First round: March 14-15

Second round: March 18-19

Quarterfinal: March 21-22

Semifinal: March 28

Final: March 30
