2024 March Madness
The Creighton men’s basketball team has made it to the Sweet 16 for the third time in four seasons after a hard-fought victory over Oregon, with a score of 86-73 in double overtime. In the next round, they will face Tennessee, the top seed in their part of the bracket. Both teams performed exceptionally well in the opening rounds, winning two games each.
Tennessee, the 2-seed in the Midwest Region, defeated Saint Peter’s and Texas to secure their spot in the Sweet 16. Meanwhile, the 3-seed Creighton beat Akron and Oregon to advance, with a slightly easier path thanks to an upset.
The game between Creighton and Tennessee will tip off at approximately 10:09 p.m. on Friday, March 29. It will take place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, as part of the 2024 NCAA Tournament rather than an on-campus venue.
