Winners of the Boca Raton Bowl in 2016 and 2021, Western Kentucky head into the game with an 8-4 record in 2024, having suffered defeat to the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in the Conference USA Football Championship Game on December 6.
This will be the Hilltoppers’ first ever meeting with the Dukes, who are chasing a maiden victory in a bowl game. James Madison are also 8-4 this season - and, like their opponents, they are preparing for the clash on the back of defeat.
Indeed, the Virginians have lost their last two games: at the Appalachian State Mountaineers on November 23, and at home to the Marshall Thundering Herd a week later.
