The possibility of the star quarterback getting back in the saddle with the New York team for this season in the NFL looks increasingly unlikely.

The return to action of quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the New York Jets remains uncertain, as much speculation surrounds when he will be back on the field.

Rodgers and Jets will have to wait

Less than 80 days have passed since he suffered the injury, and questions persist about whether the experienced quarterback will be ready to return, given the possibility of a comeback during the postseason if the New York Jets manage to advance to that stage. However, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, this scenario seems unlikely.

Aaron Rodgers is in recovery following surgery for an Achilles tendon rupture and has impressed with his rehabilitation. He is already participating in team practices, but it appears that his return is still some way off.

In addition, the Jets are adrift of their playoff objective with a losing record of 4-8 as of this week in the NFL, currently occupying the third spot in the AFC East behind the Miami Dolphins (9-3) and the Buffalo Bills (6-6).

The four-time MVP quarterback has already ruled out the idea of returning on 24 December in a game against the Washington Commanders.
