Awkward moment in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader office - they almost cut the wrong girl!
Netflix’s second season of “America’s Sweethearts” premiered on Wednesday and in one episode, the DCC leaders had an awkward mix-up.

America’s Sweethearts are back for a second season of Netflix’s popular docu-series. “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” debuted last summer and was an immediate hit, giving viewers an inside look at the grueling auditions process as well as the struggles of maintaining the high status of a DCC member.
The second season premiered on Netflix on Wednesday with the release of all seven episodes. It follows the auditions and Cowboys season for 2024. In one episode, there was an awkward moment when director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell were making cuts.
DCC’s awkward mix-up: “Back to the dance room!”
In episode three, Finglass and Trammell have to start making cuts. It’s already a difficult process. The girls have made it to training camp and started to form bonds, feeling like they’re a part of the team already. But the spots aren’t unlimited and decisions have to be made.

But things got awkward when Finglass asked an assistant to go and get one of the girls to bring into the office with the intention of cutting her. Finglass started to ask if she needed something - a photo reference perhaps - but the assistant cut her off, saying, “I got it.”
A girl walked into the office and sat down, smiling at Finglass and Trammell. As Finglass looked at the photo of the girl, she quickly realized something was off.
“This is...your hair looks different here. Was it darker?” Finglass asked the girl.
She then turned the photo to face her and the girl had a momentary look of confusion before replying “Oh, that’s not me,” and flashing another brilliant smile.
“That’s what I was thinking,” said Finglass, clearly embarrassed. “Well...hello. Michelle was gonna bring in Savannah...”
Finglass and Trammell both laughed uncomfortably and released the poor girl, who may have been unnecessarily traumatized by almost getting cut, before moving on and cutting the unfortunate real Savannah.
The moment can be seen in episode 3, “Someone’s Daughter”, at about 21 minutes in on Netflix.
