After winning at the New York Jets seven days ago, the 3-1 Kansas City Chiefs will be chasing their fourth straight victory when they face the Minnesota Vikings in another road game in Week 5 today.

Chiefs on a roll, Vikings end losing sequence

Having led 17-0 in the first quarter against the Jets, the Chiefs survived a New York comeback to prevail 23-20 at MetLife Stadium, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes endured his least impressive run-out so far this season, throwing for 203 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

That win followed 41-10 and 17-9 triumphs over the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonville Jaguars, respectively. Kansas City’s only defeat in 2023 was a narrow, 21-20 reverse to the Detroit Lions in Week 1.

Meanwhile, the Vikings are at 1-3 after picking up their first victory of the season in Week 4.

Following losses to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Chargers, Kevin O’Connell’s men finally got off the mark with a 21-13 triumph at the Carolina Panthers.

Will Taylor Swift be at the Chiefs-Vikings game?

A rumoured love interest of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, singer Taylor Swift was a star attraction in the stands as Kansas City beat the Bears and the Jets.

At the time of writing, it remained unclear whether Swift will also be at US Bank Stadium today, although it has been reported that she won’t be in attendance. In recent days, the potential for an appearance by the 12-time Grammy winner has led ticket prices in Minnesota to rocket, according to local media.

Chiefs vs Vikings: betting odds

The Chiefs are firm favourites to beat the Vikings - a team they saw off 28-25 when the franchises last met, in NFL preseason in August 2021.

Per Oddschecker, the defending Super Bowl champions are valued at -190 to come out on top in Minneapolis (meaning that a $190 bet wins you $100). Minnesota, on the other hand, are rated at +155 to beat Kansas City (a $100 bet wins you $155).

Meanwhile, the point spread is -3.5 (-110) for the Chiefs and +3.5 (-110) for the Vikings, and the points total odds are over 52.5 (-110) for Kansas City, and under 52.5 (-110) for Minnesota.
